Things I Will Remember From 2010

Since 2010 is almost over I thought it would be kind of fun to recap all the things I loved this year.
*Spending a weekend at my cousin's house and having an "Eagles Party"

*Going back to NJC for spring semester with a appointment book full of returning clients most of which tipped this semester.

*Receiving my first and very beautiful bouquet of roses

*Being asked to "do" a number of high school girls' hair for the prom (two being my sisters)

*Watching my sisters compete in track, Lacy making it to the State Meet
*My sister Lacy Graduated from high school

we made these cupcakes for Lacy's graduation party

*I finished Cosmetology School two weeks early and earned my certificate of completion. (getting my license is a different story.)

*My family and I took a road trip to spend a few days with My Uncle Steve and Aunt Sally.  My cousin Rob, his wife Kelsey and their daughter Olivia also came up for a visit.  We also were very lucky to meet our cousin Jeri's fiance Ty.

*4 of my friends got marred this summer, and I was asked to "do" my friend Bethel's hair for her big day.

*My sister Karly is 15 years old this August

*I had a good steady job this summer that I am thankful for even though it took up a lot of my summer vacation.
*Jeb and I both came back to NJC, this year I got to take real classes and had extra time to hangout with friends and get to know some people from last year better.

my room-mate  Sydney and me

*My parents celebrated their 21 wedding anniversary

*Carving pumpkins in "Herbie Hall"

* Jeb and I have been together for 2 whole years!  and I still love him so very much.

I'm pretty blessed!

Early Christmas

While we were in Greeley visiting my grandparents we spent some time making a bunch of goodies with my Grandma.  I loved every bit of it.  It made me realize how much I miss spending time with my grandma.  When my sisters and I were in elementary school she used to come and pick us up every Wednesday and we would spend the afternoon sewing, baking and cooking dinner.  It was fun baking with her again.  We made...
Fudge

 Divinity (sp?)

Peanut Brittle

Snow Balls

My Birthday :)

This year we celebrated my birthday with my grandparents, my aunt Becca, my uncle John, and my cousin Jake.  My cousins Kati and Chris came too it was a lot of fun to see everyone.  We celebrated our Christmas that night too.  I thought the place settings my grandma put together fit the occasion perfectly!

a touch of Christmas and GREEN! for me
She also had this yummy cake made for desert!

My favorite birthday present this year was from my grandma.  She found these really cute tea towels and took the time to hand stitch each of them.  I got a note in the birthday card that said a few are still coming, her eye sight is getting worse every year, so it takes her longer to stitch all the little stitches.  The towels mean so much to me, because she took the time to make them.  Just wait until you see them!

Ranch Rodeo Weekend

This last weekend, A bunch of us kids from NJC took a little road trip up to Cheyenne, Wyoming to watch 4 cowboys compete in a ranch rodeo.  We left at 7:30am [BOO!] and had a nice morning brisk drive up to LCCC's indoor arena, where we spent the day watching 15 plus 4 man (1 woman) teams compete in several ranch related events.

They competed against each other in 6 different events including,
*branding

*Hide Race
*Trailer Loading

*Wild Cow Milking
(Sorry no pictures :( )

*Sorting

*And the mystery event
(No pictures again [BOO!] )

We had a lot of fun even though our cowboys didn't place they all kept saying how much fun they had and how much they want to do it again.  hopefully they will enter in another one soon!

These are my two favorite pictures of the day:
